How does it work?
Visible
Light Communications, or LiFi for short, is a technology that enables the
transmission of wireless internet communications at extremely rapid rates.
Visible Light Communications is also known as LiFi. It utilizes visual light
communication (VLC) as a medium for data transmission rather than relying on
traditional radio waves, which allows it to work in conjunction with and, in
some cases, even circumvent more conventional radio-based technologies such as
Wi-Fi cellular and Bluetooth. This will enable it to complement these
technologies while also providing an alternative. It was invented in 2012 by
Harald Haas at the University of Edinburgh in the laboratory of Harald Haas. He
explained that it is possible to transmit data using LED lights at speeds of up
to 224 gigabits per second by demonstrating the process. The demonstration
showed this. The fact that LiFi is compatible with technologies developed in
the past means that you can make the most of the internet connections you
already have. This is the primary advantage that LiFi offers over competing for
wireless networking technologies.
